Thank you for contacting us.
We will get back to you as soon as possible to give you a free quote on making your pavers look great again. .
Sealing pavers is a clever way of keeping them look great for longer. We recommend sealing new paver installation as a way of protecting your investment. Or it could be as part of a paver restoration process to make tired looking pavers look good again.
Sealing helps with the main causes of paver degradation, such as atmospheric pollution, greasy soiling, water seepage, soil staining, mould, moss and even pool water. Also, spills and stains can be cleaned off the surface more easily.
There are many paving sealers on the market. Concrete pavers can be sealed differently depending on their porosity, hardness and surface texture. Terrazzo style pavers contain concrete and stone and may require a different approach again. The best sealer choice for stone pavers may vary with the density of the stone. At JETCLEAN® we help select the best product for your floor.
We manage event the small residential jobs through to large commercial projects like airport plazas, apartment floor exteriors, shopping mall pavers, public spaces, parks, school yards ....
Different stone materials and finishes require different sealing approachesYour Jetclean technician will guide you through the complex choices and help select the best stone sealing solution.
Also called penetrating sealers these types of products are the go-to solution for stone. Designed to soak into the stone they form a chemical barrier . When the sealer dries it is invisible, yet it helps keep out harmful contaminants and liquids that cause permanent staining or damage. They also assist in slowing the growth of algae and mould. and are suited for use on stone surfaces ranging from floors to walls and bench tops. These products are also often preferred in areas where slip risks may exist. Different quality grades are available. however only the premium solutions also help repel grease and oils.
Much like a varnish on floor boards these types of sealers are designed to offer you a clear finish. We generally recommend against the use of these types of sealer on any stone surface.
Again these sealers come in solvent and water based options. The water based version we use is a new hi-tech sealer that allows us to treat previously unsealed pavers immediately after cleaning. Offering same day sealing and next day protection is convenient for our customers as they can use the areas again quickly. Jetclean would need to assess the suitability of your stone surface as part of our assessment process.
Do you need to seal stone surfaces? In short YES. Most stones are sensitive to damage. Limestone products like travertine and marble can easily be damaged by even slightly acidic materials. Exterior limestone and sandstone are prone to attract mould and algae where shade and moisture play a significant role. Then there are factors like food and drinks spills, pool chemicals and pollution.
We think prevention is better than the cure. Yes, sealing is optional and does not offer a 100% guarantee against staining or damage, but it does greatly lower the risks.
If you want your stone to look good for longer and become easier to maintain, then sealing is the way forward. At Jetclean we seal new stone installations as well as existing ones. Here are some of the benefits:
